Based in Toronto, ON, Raha spends her time with one foot in the music scene and the other in the theatre. A fiddle player, bass player, singer, and band leader, she keeps busy with numerous bands, playing all around town. She is one of two fiddle players in the Double Cuts, Toronto’s 10-pc Western swing band, and leads a band called Bad Luck Woman & Her Misfortunes, in which she plays electric bass and sings.
As a lighting and projections designer, Raha has worked with such companies as Soulpepper Theatre, Tafelmusik, Opera Atelier, Ballet Jorgen Canada, Tarragon Theatre, and several others. She has toured extensively across Canada, as well as internationally. She was co-winner of the 2012 Siminovitch Protege Prize.
